Roxie’s At-Home Spa Guide

March 16, 2015

Having good skin is something I think we would all love to have. When someone see’s you after a holiday, looked tanned and refreshed, they always comment on how ”healthy” you look. This is because our skin is a direct reflection of what is going on in the inside. If we are stressed, hungover or have been eating too much sugar: we break out. If we are tired, under hydrated and over worked our skin can be dry and our pores get bigger. While facials are a brilliant way to rejuvenate our skin, they can be an expensive habit to maintain so I wanted to find the best products to use for our own treatments at home to ensure we have glowing picture perfect, selfie-ready skin all year long.

1. Rodial Super Acids X-Treme Hangover Mask (buy here)

I love this product because it has a gentle but effective exfoliator giving you a really deep clean, helping remove skin debris which is important for people who suffer from congestion and breakouts. I would use this product once to twice a week max. because too much exfoliation tends to dry my skin out.

2. Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme (buy here)

I used this product for the first time last night and absolutely fell in love with it. The mask has a creamy texture which smells delicious, and you can feel your face tingling a little as it starts to work. I wiped it off with some damp cotton pads, and this morning that my skin was noticeably softer and plumper. It’s also a fantastic anti-ageing product thanks to it’s anti-fatigue ingredients. This mask can be used up to three times a week. estee lauder

3. Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask (buy here)

I have been using this Bliss mask for about a year now, using it almost every morning to help reduce puffiness and signs of tiredness. I always make sure to wash it off with freezing cold water, because that helps the ‘anti-puff’ process whilst also closing all of your pores. The antioxidants in this oxygen mask work to protect your skin from free-radicals throughout the day making it a perfect morning treatment. Bliss4. Gazelli Revitalizing Mineral Mask (buy here)

The Gazelli mask is a green clay mask, so I always love to use it because I feel like I’m in a scene of Clueless. This is a fantastic mask for brightening and anti-ageing as it stimulates collagen and elasticity in the skin. You can also use it on your hands which is a real necessity in the winter months.

4. Rodial Glamtox Neck Mask (buy here)

With so many products out there for the face, I always think, well there is no point having a perfectly young looking face and then your poor neck is looking haggard and tired. So I was ridiculously excited to receive this product to try from Rodial. It firms, tones and hydrates the neck and is a definite must-have.

5. Estée Lauder Stress Relief Eye Mask (buy here)

Is there anything worse than when someone says to you, ”wow you look so tired today are you ok?” and this is all thanks to that space under the eyes giving away the truth of your lifestyle: lack of sleep, too much booze and not enough vitamins. But fear not, these Estée Lauder stress relief eye masks are incredible at reducing signs of fatigue, stress and puffiness. I use these once or twice a week and use their Re-Nutriv Eye Cream (buy here) every night and morning. After three weeks of using the cream religiously, I have a noticed a huge difference in the colour under my eyes.

Now I know every mother reading this will already own this product and it may not be something you would assume to use on your face but I swear by Sudocrem. I put it on every night around any areas where I have break outs and they all but disappear by morning. This is a product whose benefits seem to know no end.
