It’s that time of year again – February 14th is upon us and we celebrate our love for our partners (if we’re in relationships) or our best friends (if we’re single). It’s a day filled with love hearts, roses and romantic meals. This year, I decided to celebrate a couple of days early and I wanted to share with you what I got up to as well as a few ideas for the big day!
After a pretty stressful week I was SO excited for Friday night, my pre-Valentines celebration. It was one of those weeks where all I could think about what getting in the bath with a Cosmopolitan in hand (my favourite cocktail) and just switch off from work and everything else around me. I booked a night in one of my favourite hotels in London, Dean Street Townhouse, and after my last meeting at 4pm I headed straight there. It was a gorgeous room and there was a bath in the middle of the room which was heavenly as I could watch Come Dine With Me while soaking in bubbles and Jo Malone Red Roses Bath Oil. It was just as good as I had imagined in my head, I felt totally blissed out!
I then got ready and headed to Peyote restaurant in Mayfair. Peyote is a Mexican restaurant which I think is perfect for date night because it’s a sharing style which means you can try a bit of everything. The food was delicious, the staff were amazing and the Peyote Margeritas were DIVINE! The best part for me though, were the churros, one of my all time favourite deserts!
If going out for dinner isn’t your thing, why not try a romantic at home massage? I booked one last week with Secret Spa with Willow Organics and it was so relaxing – I love having a massage at home because you can roll straight into bed after, and it’s cheaper too!
If you’re looking for the perfect bouqet, look no further than Alice Strange flowers: my favourite florist of all time!
Whether you’re loved up or single, Valentine’s day is an excuse for pampering, love, self-love and relaxation!
Wishing you all an AMAZING day
Lots of Love,
